I take it you have never been in the military, or you would know they already have gun control. They are issued weapons only under specific circumstances, and the ammunition is strictly controlled. It is just as effective as gun control in the general population.

Given that he vowed not to take away any gun rights, I doubt that he'd do such a thing in the military.

There could be rules that guns are only available only when on duty and away from the compound.
