Dont you remember when you were in school, all the gum under the desks. Ewwwww! No to handing out gum.
-
Anything would be great to keep them focused...:)
-
No. Kids need to learn to focus and do the work because it's the right thing to do ... not because they've been given a "crutch" to help them.
-
are you freakin crazy there will be used chewing gum everwhere on your shoes on your ass from sitting in it in your hair
-
On two conditions: 1)They pay to have their DNA tested and kept on file. 2)They agree that if gum is found with their DNA in a place it shouldn't be, they will be summarily expelled with no appeal process.

On assessment days my school they give mints and a tiny piece of chocolate (just enough to make you more hungry. Gum doesn't help me to focus, but if it helps i don't see why school's shouldn't.
-
As a school librarian who has found chewed gum inside perfectly good books, no.
-
No.
-
i see nothing wrong with it, only problem is they'll be gum all under the desk, and the constant smacking could distract the students. lol.
-
No. BAD idea, as previously stated with desks and books. But one of my teachers give out hard candy, like peppermints and butterscotches, and those are great. The thing is, he pays for it with his own money. Darn you school budget cuts!!
