Well I don't know if it's "the worst thing", but certainly somewhere in the Top 10 Worst Things would be "hey, would you like to go out? Because I've never had a gf and I want one!" Why is this such a terrible thing to say? Because it isn't about HER, it's about your anxieties or needs, and your desire for "somebody, anybody" to fill the job opening you have for a girlfriend. No girl with self-respect wants to be your ego band-aid. My advice is forget about "wanting a girlfriend". Pay attention to each person you deal with in life. They're all individuals: the girls and the guys and the adults and the little kids. At some point, if you're like most people, you'll find that some specific girl (or guy, if you're gay!) will become special in your world... someone you want to know better, someone you are attracted to, someone distinct from all the others. When that happens, tell that person how you feel about them. Be honest, keep it simple. Whatever happens next is unpredictable, but at least then you're in the game the right way.

Lol...How adorable are you? Well...at 14, I think the issues are a little different then when you are older and dating. When you get older... Just remember never to bring up marriage or kids on the first date and you'll be fine. Everything else leading up to that point...is fair game and open territory for learning.

You're 14 so just say Hi and smile. See if she smiles back and answers you. A 14 year old girl who isnt interested will definately make it known with her reply. Dont be shy or scared, You're only saying HI.

Honestly, there's no real secret to this...other than the fact that it's a new and exciting realm to explore and full of unknowns. The "secret" behind this is: just talking! As in, start off like you're just friends! Talk about the things that you both like, things you like to do, and general topics. Know all those things guys like to talk about? Well, in general, girls like to talk about them, too; only from a girl's viewpoint. They talk about sports they like, books they like, schoolwork they hate, guys they find hot, who's flapping their lips about whom, and so forth.

Are those real? Not a good way

Start with, "Hello." The worst thing would be anything that sounds like a pick-up line.

What's that smell? Is that you? (Not a good thing to say.) Excuse me, I hope you don't mind me saying this, but I just had to come over and tell you that I thought you had the most beautiful ______ I've ever seen. (Don't use boobs or ass. Something non-sexual like eyes, hair or skin.) Good luck +4
