The world might not be going south just yet. I don't think the near future is as rosie as some politicians paint it too be either. It might take a few years to get righted.

As far as the economy, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!! Time will tell, but I'm seeing a lot of people start to improve in that area. However, there is such a decline in morals and values, and more me, me, me attituded that unless people change their ways, it will only get worse.

You have to take the long view, but things are getting better and unless we let the psychos in our midst get their hands on power, they will continue to do so. Life was really rough in the days of the cave man. There were predators everywhere ready to eat you alive, finding enough food to feed your family was a constant struggle, and if the caveman next door saw you with a nice catch, he just might bonk you in the head and steal it. No police, no investigation. Things were a bit better by the time of the Inquisition. Men were by then so wonderfully religious that they invented wonderful machines to purify the great many who weren't quite righteous enough for their taste. So comparing today to that backdrop, I find reason to be optimistic about the future.

No I don't, there have been very difficult times throughout history and everything was later alright. I have hope and faith we will do just fine in a near future.
