Why is Adult Incest viewed so negatively ? I.e. between an adult son ( 40 yrs old ) and his mother ? Considering both consent and the trust between mother and son is second to none.

Because that is disgusting. That's your Mother and it's just WRONG. Gross that you would even think about that stuff. Is the 40 year old son you? And were you thinking of getting with your Mom and wanted someone to tell you why it is a good thing so you wouldn't feel gross or something? Because it is gross. Don't do that. I am sure she wouldn't want to do that with you either.

Incest, specially between parent and child, is something which is considered as a moral sin. Saying that, morals are not defined. They are different for every one. What I believe as moral need not be the same for others and vice versa. It is all in how one perceives it. The problem arises when someone does something that they 'believed' to be okay and then start feeling bad or guilty for doing it. Worse, when they try to get others to accept it, just to make them self feel better, or. I am not suggesting that you are doing the same nor am I telling that what you are doing is moral, or not. Sorry, if I sounded otherwise. *smiles*
