Lol good question,i have 4 i did have 7 because we had a litter of kittens too,but now we are down to 4 i would have more i love cats i think too many is over 6.
-
One is too many for me. I like cats, but no in my house.
-
"Too many" would be one more than a person can properly care for!
-
I've never had more than two at a time and thought that was just right. I would say no more than four, or you'll be constantly cleaning the litter box and brushing hair off your clothes.
-
I have two and that is enough for me. I think you shouldn't have more than you can properly take care of. I know some that have one and that is too many for them. But on Average I think 3 or 4 is enough.
-
if you cant support them (food, shelter, etc.), then its too much
-
My cat say's one is enough... Her!
-
I'm allergic to them so I limited myself to two.One for each nostril.
-
Six is not too many for us ~ it's just right, although if I hadnt found homes for a stray mUm and three of her kittens, I'd have to say 10 was just right LoL So ... my answer therefore would be 11 ! But six is good!
-
I did have only one. I have a relative who has 30, they go in and out of the house. I Love cats, but that is too many... I'd say no more than 2, maybe 3
-
depends on how much space you have, how many other people and critters share the space, and how many you can afford to care for well. Most homes I would say are only big enough for two, maybe three cats at most. also, depends on what your city code says...many towns and cities limit the number of animals that can be registered per household, mostly for safety and health reasons.

I have always had cats throughout my life. Currently we have four cats in the house, plus two dogs, and two ferrets. But it takes some work to clean up, but its worth it. We usually only had my elderly cat in the house, and my ragdoll. But we recently moved from an 8 acre farm to town. So I am kind of scared to put the two usual outdoor cats outside. Because they are not used to cars and some of the animals around here. So...

as many as you can handle without the house smelling like a zoo. I have 2 cats at the moment and I HATE doing the litter box...yuck! I recently bought the Cat Genie that hooks up to water faucet in sink or laundry room and it cleans itself daily, I will NEVER be without this machine...LOVE IT!!!!!!!
-
that would depend on you and where you live. for me its 2 is to many.

i have 9 indoor cats at the present and i love each and every one of them. their names are B.J.,Tasha,Silver,Cassie,Pearl,Sadie,Buddy,Rastas and Baby Boo. kids left home and i got really bored!!!!

One.

I think two is a nice number because they can keep each other company. I have only had 1 or 2 at a time. Don't have ANY unless you can properly feed and care for them, and give them a loving home.
-
When you walk in the door, if you can smell anything, its way too many.
-
When I stayed with my mother in 2006, there were 6 cats and 1 dog in a 2 bedroom condo. It was too many animals for that amount of space. I feel that unless you are a professional breeder, 6 cats is plenty. My cat, however, would say that 1 is enough.
-
I like 4 and now because I am sucker I have 5. Trust me.. there will not be a 6th under my roof.
-
However many you can tolerate and take care of is a good number.
