well, he helped raise money after 9/11 and he's done other charitable work so OF COURSE he deserves respect he's not like that British singer, Sting who is as arrogant as he is famous and wealthy

He is quite a rational human being with no tickets on himself, who uses his fame to do a lot of good. Yes, I respect him, both as an artist and a human being. Look at his home life. He is never in the papers for bad behaviour. He loves his wife and children and retreats home to them as often as is possible for an artist. A lot of artists could look at such people as role models for their industry.
