I have a 60" mitsubishi hi-def dlp television, When I turn the tv on I have no picture but do have sound and after about a minute the television turns itself off.

Hi,It does sound like you lamp is bad its major symptom is sound and no pic,and if its from 1-2 yrs or 4000-5000 hrs.Pay attention to any clicking or buzzing sound because it could be another issue with your tv.Good luck and God bless you!
