  • you could modify your diet. talk to a dietician and get some foods that are more of a base, this will not only help prevent/reduce your acid reflux, but will be healthier for your pregnancy and your unborn child in the long run. when you consider what types of food generall cause acid reflux and consider that your unborn child is also "eating" these foods, the choice should be clear :)
  • Tums are safe to take while you are pregnant. I took a LOT of them towards the end. Congratulations!
  • Congrats! Eat a red apple - that helps me with heartburn!!! (Yes, really!) Also, a sipful of milk helps too.
  • There are a lot of acid-reducing drugs (Prilosec, Zantac, etc.) that are quite effective. Check with your physician to see if they are safe for pregnant mothers to take. Good luck.
