Camp gothic cliches (dancing skeletons, love-from-beyond-the-grave, big candles and gargoyles etc): are they acceptable, or are they just another variety of cheese?

They're not ideal, and can be a little cheesy at times, but for the most part, they're certainly better than other varieties of Camp-Cliche. If you present me with a choice of Camp-Cliches, that's the genre I'd take. But I prefer to stay away from Cliches all together.
