  • run your tongue over it.... Its the part of your body that can catch all of the little bitty differences. If you can tell theres something there...its a crack, but if it feels smooth...its prolly ok.
  • Scratch over with your fingernail and you will feel it!
  • Actually, if you can turn the object until you can see the inclusions reflecting light as if it goes all the way thru the thickness of the glass and doing so as if reflecting from a flat surface, it is a crack. If it was done during the making, the inclusion will likely not reflect the glasss as if it were a flat surface. What I mean by flat surface is if you broke a piece of glass into 2 pieces, the surface where the glass separated will be 2 flat surfaces that would fit together again. Those flat, clean cut, edges will reflect light whereas if it happened during the making, and is not a flaw, it will not be flat - like a break, enough to reflect the light the same way.
