  • I'm not sure, I think the atmosphere just seems different when you're in the dark out in the boonies. At my house, if my outside lights aren't working and you go out there at night, you can't even see your hand if it's directly in front of your face. With the river and the trees, it can be a little spooky. I'm use to it, but my friends freak. They're afraid to walk 30 feet to the car; and that's actually with lights on, LOL!
  • It was fear. Your senses dont lie. If your usually calm and collective...and all of a sudden a rush of fear comes your way................The unconciouse part of your mind sensed something your conciouse part didnt...maybe something in the distance such as a sound...or just a feeling of a "preditor" animal person whatever...was around. Thats why we always need to trust our senses...and get outta there. It doesnt just happen...for no reason.
  • That is not fear of the dark..if it where you would have it when you where just in the dark..you left the security of your home "in the dark early hours of the morning"...the fear you felt has little to do with the dark, and more to do with the unknowns of what could happen because you have exposed yourself to the world at an unsafe time..
  • I have that exact same feeling when I'm doing that same thing or alone in the dark outside its just you are sort of on defence mode because of your brain thinking somethings out there
  • Maybe someone was watching you outside and you felt there presence lol jks
