-
Yes, I have tried that.
-
yes, all the time and its called egg in the hole
-
I didn't know what it was called. Have you ever taken a large potato, cut the top off, hollowed it out , cracked an egg into it, put the top back on, wrapped it in tin foil and baked it in a bbq? Yummy!
-
I never done it or even heard of it before. I would like to know why people would do this. Does it have a different taste the eggs and toast?
-
My ex used to make that for me =) We called it "eggy bread", although that phrase actually refers to french toast!
-
I don't know where I first saw it but I'm always trying all those useless things in the kitchen just because cooking is still fun for me. And then I saw it in V for Vendetta and now it's a favorite.
-
Those are yummy!!

I've made it a few times. I've also seen it called a Toad In the Hole. Why? I have no clue! Egg in the hole and birds nest makes more sense to me.
-
The egg in the bread is also known as a smuggler's egg, but I have no idea why.
-
I did it a couple of times. We call it Toad-in-the-hole.
