Sounds like "cradle cap" that babies get. Many adults suffer too. Try the stuff they use for babies, should work or just ask the chemist if they have adult strength. If symptons persist, see your doctor.

I have a very rare form of psoriasis. The last time I was at my dermotologist, I had him look at a large patch on my scalp. It is a new site of psoriasis. The only thing that came close to helping my rare form is a self injection of an experimental drug. For my scalp, he gave me a script for a foam called ~ clobetasol propionate .05% It's a script so you'll have to see a doctor. If it's not psoriasis, you are lucky. If it is, see a doctor right away.

This sounds like it might be psoriasis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psoriasis You should see a dermatologist to confirm this. Typical treatments include using coal tar-based shampoos... . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coal_tar#Applications . ...and topical steroids (cortisone or similar). Typically, the scalp is one area that responds well to treatment. Good luck.

What shampoo do you use? How thick is your hair? How's the water pressure in your shower? In middle school, I got sent to the nurse several times because they thought I had lice, always scratching, and I tried to tell them, I have these things... BUT what it turned out to be? My family all used a fairly cheap shampoo that was very very thick. I have very thick hair. Our water pressure was not awesome. I could not rinse all the soap out, and I had those as a reaction. I switched to a thinner shampoo, and was fine. And when I go to my parents' house now, they use the same shampoo, but their water pressure is much better, and I can get it all out.
