  • My mother in law's homemade German fruit cake at Christmas. This receipe is decades old. handed down to her from generation to generation. Its made two months before Christmas and sits in the fridge under a cheesecloth. Half a bottle of Italian wine goes into the receipe. This cake comes with a warning label. You do not drive after eating a piece of this cake.

  • 8-20-2017 Americans have this thing they call "fudge", but the only variety they know about is chocolate fudge. Occasionally you might run across a gas station selling vanilla fudge, maple fudge, and/or other flavors. Just plain fudge is so rare that nobody knows what it is when they taste it. So the Mexicans have a recipe for fudge and they call it dulce de leche, "sweet milk". You would not believe how good it tastes. It is available at amazon.com
