  • They can if you're on an unsecured network and they know how to check such information. Most people don't, though.
  • Simple answer: no.
  • By all means - make your network secure - all sorts of things can happen if you don't and they are not nice people who will take advanatage of you and your items on your PC.
  • It is possible. If you set up the security on your network (WEP etc) then it makes it a magnitude harder. But no wireless network will ever be 100% secure if the intruder is determined enough. You just need to make sure that you share only the folders you really need to and make sure that you have security measures in place. Do a google for securing WiFi networks.
  • No, they cannot see what website you are on!! I tried it, I have a home wireless network that is not locked down because nobody lives close enough to get on my network. Someone driving by actually could get on your network, but they cannot tell what "website" you are on..
