• @debodun: Some are some aren't. Pre-war blues and picture discs can fetch some ser,ious money if they're the right ones and in good condition. LP's like a mis-labeled FreeWeelin' Bob Dylan or other misprints are also worth some money to the right people. Other's might fetch 10-50 bucks depending on variances, while most LP's, 78's, etc...are just like trading cards, tons of commons, very few stars. Goldmine puts out a record pricing catalog. Sometimes the hard part is finding a collector willing to pay anywhere near a price guides amount.

• I know. I advertised the 78's on Craig's List. I have over 4000. I started at $500 for the whole bunch. One man spent over 2 hours looking through the records, pulled out some like Bix Beiderbecke and early Hank Williams and said he'd give me $100 for about 50 records as soon as he had the money. That was almost a year ago and I haven't heard anything back from him. One other man came and offered me $5 for the whole lot. He said he doesn't pay much for 78's because they are so fragile and everytime he moves them, some get broken. However, I think they are worth more than that! Other than those two men, there had be absolutely no interest.
  
  I had no problem selling my comic books. The best offer I received was $315 and he said it was probably low, but there were not many superhero ones. Of course, they would be ones girls would like - Bugs Bunny, Harvey comics, Disney characters and Archie.
