Why is everyone taking Anna Nicole's death so casually?

I would not say that, last couple of days it seems that all the major network news including CNN is covering it.

That's probably because she didn't have a positive public image and a good reputation. Don't get me wrong, I think it's sad what happened to her, I liked her, but I don't see the point in making a matryr out of her. The thing I really don't understand is why people are making such a fuss about Anna Nicole while taking much larger issues such as the Iraq situation and global warming so casually.

I think because she used drugs and didn't make the best decisions in life, people think they can make fun of her death. She was not a horrible human being like Osama or Hitler. She was just a lost soul. I think it's disturbing the way others are joking about her death. She was someone's daughter, someone's mother, someone's sister.....I just hope those same people never have a family member with substance or depression problems.
