On the 4th of July, 1969. I was twelve years old and I flew from Puerto Rico to Venezuela. We returned at night on July the 20th, 1969...and I remember the announcement that the the Apollo 11 guys had stepped on the moon. People cheered and celebrated!

Las Vegas where we spent the night. Then got up and took a two-engine prop plane out to the middle of the desert to hop on a helicopter to take us up the Colorado River. From there we went on a three day white water rafting trip.
