Learning to act is one thing. There is acting for the stage and acting for film, two different processes, not to be confused. Learning to act as a business is a whole different animal. You can learn to act wherever you see excellent acting happening, in a class, in a play, with a teacher. If you've only acted for the stage, it helps to have a class in acting for film. Acting for film is more like "being", it happens as much with the eyes as anything else, and that's way to simple a way to explain it.
