Has anyone had the experience where, when you were a teenager people thought you were ugly and when you became a bit older, you're now considered the total opposite of ugly and mystified by how it happened!?

This can happen. Sometimes teenagers are nothing but a horror and when they get older they are wonderful and nice persons.

If, by "people", you mean your teenage friends, these rude, judgemental and demeaning outbursts are usually to impress their friends and cement their station in their group. Once you are out of school and these groups are dissolved, you are far more apt to hear the truth.

Yes,but I only THOUGHT that I was ugly-I felt ugly,even though I never was told that I was(Sometimes the more pretty someone told me I was,the more ugly that I felt)I believed this for A long time,and often put it to blame for me being sexually abused as often as I was by more than one person in childhood and adolecence. More people know where you are coming from than you know8some people are also just jelous(spelled wrong,mabe) haters who want to bring you down because they see what you have,like what you have,WANT what you have-only they don't know that it's not all what it's chalked up to be(Did you know that different cultures around the world consiter different things beautiful,a SKINNEY girl in Africa is repulsive,for one example)*Just somthing for you to chew on*
