I know some people say that a rex rabbit might be better for allergies but I haven't found it to be so, at least not better than just grooming your rabbit as much as possible and cleaning up after the rabbit, keeping it in restricted areas. There are some products that supposedly help make fur less likely to bother people, helpful since you can't really bathe rabbits to remove the dander like you can with cats. So they have developed sprays like "AllerPet" and "AllerPet/C" that you can spray on the fur and it neutralizes the effects of the dander. I don't know how well they work personally, but I've known a couple of people who have used them and they can be enough to help mild allergies. And be sure that it is a rabbit allergy and not a hay or litter allergy. Sometimes people think that they are allergic to the animal when it's just what the animal is around that is the cause.
