I think it is a con job.The drug companies think these diseases up constantly and put a new name on them in order to have to develop new drugs for nothing. So few in the world have a major flu,as if you are talking the swine flu.

The death rate is 1% - 4%. Let's not go overboard here.

Quarantine everyone in Mexico? Not very feasible considering the amount of business we do with them. It would cripple our already lumbering economy and decimate theirs. Literally millions of people a day go back and forth across that border. Food prices would triple, if not more. We wouldn't have many of our fresh vegetables. And thousands of people would not be able to go to work or come home from work because they live on one side and work the other.

I just noticed the Ft. Worth ISD has closed all its schools until May 8. Seems there was one confirmed case yesterday and 8 more possible cases. Houston had one yesterday also.

All countries have isolated the affected people already, you know?

I don’t see the point. We don’t quarantine for flu normally, & from all accounts this one is no more severe than what comes round every year.

We should take a deep breath and get on with living. The swine flu may not be the least of our problems, but it is damn close.

The press tends to blow things way out of proportion. The majority of deaths don't yet have a proven connection.
