Why sometimes when you rate an answer it rates it up 4 and other times 6 points?

I always thought it was because someone was rating up the same question at the same time as me, so when it rates up from me, it includes their rate up as well.

that means that there is someone else rating the question or someone who rated the question while you was reading it... its nothing really, it has happened to me...
