I play the guitar as a beginner at school and a part of our final is to find and learn how to play a song. are there any songs you know that are relatively easy and use basic chords?

Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" (A Little Night Music). Key of G, very simple tune. Even easier is Brahm's "Lullabye" tune. "Go to sleeeeeep, go to sleeeeeep..." or whatever the words were that supposedly went with it. [edited after comment] Try Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" or "Pigs on the Wing." Very simple strumming chords. ........................ Or, super-easy, the 60's "Batman" theme, in seventh position (seventh fret area): B Bb A Bb, E Eb D Eb, F# - - -, E - - -, B Bb A Bb, B------ Spelled out: low E --77665566-- four times total then A string same thing twice total then first riff twice total then F# on A string ---9--9--- then E again on A string --7--7--- then back to the original riff.

Your comment on the first answer helped clear up the questions I had about your question. If you are ok playing an older tune, the Beatles have a hug base of easy yet rewarding songs to learn. I think most anyone alive would recognize any Beatles tune. Good luck!
