  • I wouldn't worry too much about a waiting period. Go on a search for the right bunny, an adult already spayed or neutered would probably be the best match, maybe a rescue. Give a new bunny a home, one of the opposite sex wold be easiest to bond, usually.
  • I would wait until the mourning period is over. By mourning period, I mean how long it takes for her to stop exhibiting depressed behavior. We had this happen, and the surviving bunny laid in the dead bunny's spot day and night for almost a week. She eventually did start returning to normal, but until she had mourned her buddy, she had no interest in making friends and was even mildly aggressive towards the other rabbits we have. Also, same sex bunnies do fine together, don't put her with a male unless one or both of them are altered. Good luck and I'm so sorry to hear about your little one.
