Perhaps because you don't pay attention or apply yourself, like when they go over spelling.

Perhaps because you don't like it. I do love speaking and writing a good English, I really do. Or to be fair, maybe the teacher lacks of imagination to make the class more interested.

Probably because you haven't figured out how to learn. English is capitalized and boring has no e. Try challenging yourself to accomplish a task in every class (subject related) and you will be amazed how much you have learned at the end of the course.
