The starter gets the loss. The pitcher who is responsible for the run that gave the winning team the lead they never relinquished is the pitcher of record. The winning team never gave up the lead after the starter left the game.
Rule 10.17(d) A losing pitcher is a pitcher who is responsible for the run that gives the winning team a lead that the winning team does not relinquish.
I'm a 6 to 6'1 left handed pitcher, with all my work outs, I should be throwing 88-93. what are my chances of possibly getting drafted?

when a team has a day off do they skip the pitcher that would pitch that do or does that pitcher pitch the next game thanx!

You're reading A starting pitcher leaves the game in th top of the fifth inning with no outs and no one on and his team is loosing 7-1. A relever comes in and allows three more runs. His team comes back but falls short and looses 10-8. Who gets the lose?
