I've given up on buying pet beds. They are usually really understuffed anyway, and my pets end up sleeping on the floor with a ring of stuffing around them. At the beginning of my sewing season for winter clothes, I buy a few yards of ticking at Walmart and sew up a couple of dog sized ticks. Then, as I cut fleece for winter sweaters, pajamas, coats and sweat pants, I tuck the little pieces that aren't usable for anything else into the tick. When its full, I sew a washable fleece cover for the new bed and give it to whichever animal needs a bed. I usually get a couple of dog beds out of the trimmings from each year's clothes, and that is after I've cut all the mittens, hats, socks and quilt blocks as I can from the bigger parts.

I guess not. I know I have to buy some of the dog clothes for my cats! lol

I agree! And let's not even MENTION the little foot-high scratching posts! My cat stands on all fours almost as tall as they are.

I have the exact same problem with my cat. The bed he's got now would have struggled to hold him even when he was a kitten! He ends up just collapsing on top of it and flattening all the sides down, or abandoning it completely and sitting on the sofa.
