I don't follow your logic here, simply by going back in time and altering the past even without the intent of changing my specific present/future state could send out ripples that could in fact do just that. In fact just setting foot in the past could set of a new divergent set of events (albiet seemingly minute to begin with) based on someone merely noticing me, his/her previous actions would now be replaced for a new set. Say the person who noticed me was crossing the street, being distracted this time around they would not see a wayward taxi come barrelling down the intersection and in turn be struck by the vehicle. From here the small change I incurred from a glance will continue to unravel exponentially as the states of many bystanders will be affected not to mention those of the cab driver and families/friends of the hit and run victim. Its basic chaos theory.

Had a girlfriend that got pregnant. The guy that got her pregnant was one of thoes user guys. She hasn't been a part of my life since that year, but stopping her from going out with that guy would have been a good thing I think. She loves her son from what I have heard, but she was 15 and her life might have been better if she waited and had children when she was older. Her name was April. we called her Sunshine in our ROTC class. Funny how I remember her so well and we barely even hung out.
