The entire USA is much based on immigration (except the native Americans, but many of them were killed off in the past). The immigrants to the USA bring both things some people like and dislike. And what one person like, the other dislikes. Also, the number of dictatorships has decreased after the USSR breakdown around 1990.

You are so right. Americans think Democracy is the only way. By acting like the policeman of the world, America tries to solve all global problems by shoving the American way of life down other nations throat. That is why a lot of countries are mad at them for their meddling.

Well,I`ve met a nice Chinese family.They came for freedom.You see they already had a daughter,and after coming to U.S.A.,they were able to have 2 sons.All the children were nice and great students.Now they are tax payers.Also met a Mexican family at little league.They are nice,have jobs at a greenhouse,and their one son is real sweet and kind.So I think I can not agree!...What personal expreiences have you had that make you feel that way?

agree...abotu 10 yrs ago , living in NJ...i frequented a convenient store ,run by arabs or something...until i found out, OUR GOVERNMENT gave them that business, they were exempt from taxes, etc., there was a lot of CRAP i can't remember , but i stopped ,immediately ...took it to the little american trying to get...then the college teacher...we pay for their college educations...! the teacher was wanting to place her in a good job...she refused ...she just wanted to keep going to school....our country's government is turning against us....we take care of illegal aliens better than we take care of ourselves...and we hand lots of them a LIFE without any MERITS!!! we are becoming oppressed by our own Government and they want control of our FREEDOMS too! so ,i been on board a long time:)JUSTME

Yes, I do, but they are usually a country of one, not an entire country. Of course, there are exceptions. Poverty drives them here, but lack of education or illegal status keeps them in poverty here due to our cost of living being so high. Then there are the countries who have people here in large numbers. Those granted exile don't cause us problems, typically. And those whose staus is illegal, but who work their butts off to earn a paltry living are exempt as well.

I disagree. Our parents, our grandparents or our great grandparents were immigrants. They brought here the good and the bad. And we are doing alright.

How do they bring their country's problems with them? If someone is fleeing from political/cultural oppression, they don't bring that oppressive force along with them; otherwise, why flee at all? Disagree.

I agree that they now become a problem...as we hand them everything FREE at our expense...but I don't see how they bring us their countries problems? unless u mean they are up to no good here?like "cells"..that is where our "patriot Act" is supposed to help keep us safe...Although it is HIGHLY Abused by our own....it is one RIGHT I am willing to Give Up....for our safety!! and besides, if we are doing RIGHT, what have we got to LOSE if our privacy was invaded... they get away there so we can educate, set them up in a business ,give them EXTRODINARY BREAKS,etc...what happened to the old way when we came here as aliens and all the yrs UNTIl? all peoples came here to be FREE and WORK their - - - - - off for their own PROSPERITY..i bet the majority are tax exempt at the tax payers EXPENSE .. we pay for the losses in plants shutting down trying to bail them out!!! WE PAY for all the SUPPRESSING INCENTIVE LOANS that we can NEVER PAY BACK...and to top that off ..OUR COMMANDER IN CHEIF wants to be UNCOVENTIONAL with our nations security and safety.....gives out our MILITARY SECRETS(treason), tells the WORLD he will NEVER push that button like that is exactly what ALL OF THEM WANT TO DO!!! yeah, we are in bad shape...another hit won't be long....:)justme the Tea Patry's were non violent, they were all colors and cultures , hard working tax paying trying to STAND UP FOR OUR RIGHTS..but it made to seem as violent..they WANT it to seem as so!!! when America does these Protests...i hope we are together , not any POLITICAL PARTIES ,just common sense tax paying Americans..amen:)justme

I would say the normal 10 % of any group would and the 90% are striving toward and enjoying there new Country as our ancestor immigrant descendent have.

disagree, I think the immigration issue has been taken so far out of context. fact: about 50% of illegals that come into the US come from Europe with a visa and just never return. however if you watch the news, they always show a file film of the Mexican border crossings. I lived in Detroit, and can witness the fact that plenty of Europeans come across the Canadian border, Detroit has the highest population of illegal Europeans in the US, most settle in an area called Hamtramick. as far as problems being bought to the US, i am hard pressed to think of an issue that was bought here by an immigrant. as far as schools are concerned, they actually try to find students with English as a second language in order to receive more federal funding. there is a case pending in New York where a student that speaks perfect English and has a 4.0 grade point average has refused to take a English proficiency test, although she is in an advanced English class in school, because she speaks another language at home, the school keeps her on a second language list to receive federal funding. Problems in the US are normally rooted in the very thing that founded this country, greed and love of money (you really think the revolutionary war was about freedom, nope it was about keeping all the profits and cutting out England)
