Help answer this question below.
Before going to bed: Lots and lots of water plus 1000 mg of vit c.
When drinking. Never mix two liquors--like bourbon and gin, or scotch and vodka--strictly for amateurs.
Avoid punch drinks like Tropical Thunder, or Voodoo supremo...
Just drink one liqour and if you mix it use only water, coke, soda, tonic, OJ, tomato juice.
Get the idea? Keep your drinking simple.
yes, don't drink too much in the first place :-}, seriously drink loads of water and you'll soon feel better.
A good few hours of sleeping :) followed by lots of coffee!
To not drink that much to start with! failing that ~ SLEEP! and lots of water...
Water.
Drink water prior to your drinking session and before you go to bed.
Water in the morning as well.
Water + paracetamol in the morning if you fail to imbibe water prior to your drinking session.
Hangover usually equals dehydration.
Step one, don't drink alcohol. If not possible, step 2, for every drink you have, have a glass of water. Step three, eat while drinking. If none of these work, step 4 is linked:

Airborne and water.
Sleep!
Not drinking at all usually does it for me.
Plenty of bed rest the next day.
Lots of water and a good Vitamin B-Complex supplement.
Without question there is nothing to compare with drinking "nopal" cactus juice after drinking a lot. The next morning you won't feel like you've drank anything! It's really quite amazing.
Drink plenty of water. Yes, water, not more beer. One of the causes of the hangover is dehydration caused by the diuretic effect of alcohol.
Along with that water, take a painkiller (aspirin, ibuprofren, whatever you've got handy). That should deal with the rest of the headache.
I'm a doctor and so I prefer prevention rather than a cure.
The best way to prevent a hangover is to drink at least two pints of water, just before you go to bed because it will keep you hydrated which stops a hangover.
What causes Hangovers?
Dehydration
Alcohol is a diuretic, ie a drug that increases urination and flushes fluids from the body. Drinking coffee the next morning only increases this problem as coffee is also a diuretic.
Mild poisons in the drink
Complex organic molecules such as methanol and acetone are found in some drinks and are said to be responsible for hangovers rather than ethanol(alcohol). This view is by researcher Dr Ian Calder of the London based National Hospital for Neurosurgery.
Which Alcohol is worse?
Brandy is worst for hangovers then in descending order are: red wine, rum, whiskey, white wine, gin and vodka. The British Medical Journal did tests that showed drinking bourbon whiskey is twice as likely to cause a hangover than the same amount of vodka.
Too much alcohol
Too much alcohol depletes the body of necessary substances required to stay healthy, these include blood sugar, vitamins and minerals.
Wine - a bad harvest
If you are drinking wine that comes from a country where a small change in the climate can make a big difference to the quality of wine, eg France, Germany, New Zealand, then in a bad season the wine contains many more substances that cause hangovers.
Wine - drinking it too young
Almost all red wines and chardonnay are matured in oak barrels so that they will keep and improve. If you drink this wine younger than three years there will be a higher level of nasties that can cause hangovers. If left to mature these nasties change to neutral substances and don't cause hangovers. As a rule of thumb wine stored in oak barrels for six months should be acceptable to drink within the first year. If the wine is stored for twelve months or more in oak barrels it should then be left for at least four years. Some winemakers have been known to add oak chips directly into the wine to enhance flavors, especially in a bad season, and this can take years to become neutral.
Powerade!
SAVIOUR
Alcohol dehyrdrates you, so drinking water, a lot, is probably good.
Some say aspirin but I think a bloody mary helps.
drink lots of water to get it through ur system
I do not consume alcohol ... prevention of a hangover is much easier than a cure ... but my friend used to whisper, "bring me some aspirin, and do not slam the lid!" ... LOL ...
... meanwhile, back in reality, I recommend a small glass of apple juice, followed by several large glasses of water, followed by some time in a hot & humid steam bath, breathing deeply ... re-hydrate ...
Hangovers are the body's reaction to severe dehydration. Copious amounts of water is pretty much the most reasonable remedy (although I wouldn't know for sure since I've never had a hangover).
I don't get hangovers but a friend of mine used to drink the juice from the pickle jar when she had a hangover..swore it worked..I just took her word for it..lol :)
Hmm, now who's fault was that? The best cure is just water. Good luck.
Too late for that. The only cure for a hangover is not drinking
Exercise and doing something that requires activity helps get the rest of the toxins out of my body and return me to normal.
24 hrs!
Start again.
I don't need one due to the fact I only drink 1 maybe 2 beers a month.
as much water as you can possibly handle, and vitamin c supplements. works for me:)
Lots of water and a good old greasy fry up and some painkillers
Gatorade (and lots of it), advil and greasy food
Let the duck with the beer in his hand answer this question for you.
The bad news is that there is no medically proven hangover cure. Time is the only thing that will fix it. There are things, however that will reduce some of the symptoms.
Several things happen that contribute to hangover symptoms. Alcohol acts like a diuretic, causing you to pee, and dehydrating you. With the flushing of the water in your blood stream comes the leaching of electolytes (potassium is affected)...
You need to replace electrolytes and fluid in your system. Drink a lot of water or an electrolyte sports drink. This will help with the dry mouth and some of the fatigue.
Your liver converts alcohol into several different things, one of which is acetaldehyde... This is a toxin, and the only way it gets out of you, is through hydration over a perod of time.
You become hypoglycemic because the alcohol blocks the liver's ability to produce the enzymes that process sugar. This will make you dizzy, gaggy, and weak... Eat fruit... It's not a quick cure, but, the sugars in fruit process better in your system, and will shorten the suffering.
Basically, you need to rehydrate and suffer the consequences.
Next time, drink lots of water before you go to bed (after getting drunked up). This is a surefire method (for me, anyway) of making sure I wake up with as small of a hangover as possible.
Then, there is my old tried and true (NOT RECOMMENDED) method of just getting drunk again.
Not to drink in the first place
A pint of water before you crash out and then fried eggs on toast in the morning. That's what works for me.
Lots of water and an unhealthy breakfast do it for me
back when I used to drink without regard for the morning after, I would make sure I had some gatorade in the fridge. Replacing the fluids your body has lost gets your body going in the right direction
Gatorade and sunflower seeds. It really works!
greasy food and lots of gatorade always works for me.
More alcohol. Get re-hydrated sure but hair of the dog does work. Well always did for me. Salt and water is needed but more alcohol always made me feel well enough to take food and water. Without it I felt awful and couldn't keep anything down.
Being reformed now, I would say don't drink too much but that would be incredibly hypocritical of me ;)
I was told by a doc that using diacalm, clue is in the name for its original use, replaces alot of salts etc lost through alcohol.
You can't make it go away faster, just make it less intense... painkillers, plenty of water and a meal of bacon/eggs generally helps.
It also helps if when you are drinking you consume water between drinks, as the hangover has a lot to do with dehydration.
Hangovers are partially caused by dehydration. The water in your body is flushed out over the course of the night, and when you sober up all your organs attempt to pull water back in. Unfortunately, a side effect of this is your brain loses water and shrinks in size, causing the membranes that hold it in place to stretch, resulting in the headache.
The best thing you can do is to drink plenty of water before going to bed and take a vitamin.
http://health.howstuffworks.com/hangover.htm
drink as much water as you can manage the night before, when you wake up in the night (as you usaully do) drink moorree water, when you get up, drink wait for it....water! A few glasses of orange juice + high vit smoothies, and scoff a few mars bars. This covers the 3 thring that causes hangovers: Dehydration, Loss of vitamins (mainly vit C) which act as antioxidants (to get rid of the booze) and low blood sugar levels.
To be fair though, i've never really had a bad hangover, i just seam to be immune to them (wayhey).
Drink (non-alcoholic) liquids
Eat something
Go back to bed

Drink more beer!
Do NOT take tylenol - combined with the alcohol overdose it can be very toxic to your liver - take advil or aspirin. A multi B vitamin supplement may be somewhat helpful.
Drinking water is the best, but Diet Coke and ginger ale can make you feel better, although they dehydrate you even more. There are a lot of recipes for drinks you can make and keep in the fridge so they are handy and you don't have to make it when you're hungover. Also, I have heard some people say Pedialyte (the kid's drink) works.
Not drinking alcohol at all in the first place.
Coffe.
lots of water and lots of sleep
personally - I swear by plenty of water and a large fresh fruit salad for breakfast
