  • They don't have to be a certain age. If you go to the vet, you can get the recommended dosage for the size of the puppy. If they have fleas & ticks you can't leave them untreated.
  • Revolution brand can be used on puppies and kittens.
  • I started putting regular Advantage on my pup @ 5 weeks. But ONLY a few drops every other week. I wouldn't use a multi medication unless advised by a vet. My vet said to only use Advantage in that dose for my pup.
  • The earliest I have seen on the boxes for Frontline, Biospot etc is 3 months. Remember these pups will be washed by the mom until weaned. I would not want my female licking all these slow release poisons. I had a major flea outbreak one year. The pups were 5 weeks old. The vet told me to heavily spray the inside of a pillow case or bag and hold the pup, with head sticking out, in the bag for 6-8 minutes to kill the fleas. So I would ask my vet before using ANY of the spot on drops.
  • I don't use no chemicals on mom or pups til pups r fully weaned from mom...JMO dichihuahua
  • I stopped using those as they aren't reliable anymore since they all changed their formulas and it's really not that safe,. What is safe and works well is using Neem oil instead. You can make up a spray of it yourself and do it once a week, works on ticks, too. Much cheaper than the drops and works better without being toxic. Mix 1 ounce of Neem oil with 2 ounces of organic white vinegar and 5 ounces of water. Shake the bottle to mix the ingredients before. Spray your pet well with the mixture every 7 to 10 days and brush him after spraying to work the solution through his fur and to his skin. You can spray their bed and around where they like to sleep, too. It's okay for you, too. And it's good for use on houseplants and garden too :-)
