I think it is narcissistic behavior. That is way too self serving for my liking, I would probably stop giving them points or feedback.

Its just a very bored person with nothing to do but answer questions that have no meaning for them.

I feel that maybe they are either a bit shy or perhaps do not like confrontation. Sure it gets on your nerves but as long as they are not rude or giving out a bunch of harmful information, they do not really bother me.

I see a lot of folks who do that. I wonder, do they just not like to converse with anyone, or do they only post Q&A to get points. There are some folks that I notice will as the same question over and over (changing one word, like "what's the best place to visit in_____?" and then change the city name a few dozen times), or that ask really mind-numbing Qs like "What's something that's yellow?" I mean...really now? I usually stop answering Qs like that and don't give any points.

its frustrating i like to answer and ask to start a conversation via comments or just a little back and forth anyway. i guess they hadn got anything to say. ??? LOL!!

Honestly, I answer their questions if they attract me and I'm always appreciative of those who take the time to answer my questions. Whether on not they ever comment doesn't bother me. I like getting comments because that's a good way to get to know someone better but some people aren't interested in that aspect of Answerbag so it's fine with me either way. Happy Friday Keysha! :) ((hugs))

I try not to let it concern me. A few months back, there was a question, like this one, about a AB member that had become a Sage without awarding a point. As it turns out, the member has a condition that causes this behavior, but almost no one knew it. Not everyone is the same and as long as they are not disruptive, that's enough for me.
