Hey i'll be 16 soon and i'm only 5 ft tall is that normal 4 a female? or i'm gonna get taller bcz all my brothers R tall but my mom is about my height and from what i know that males tend to be taller than female so is there any way that i can get taller?

the everage age that femals stop growing is around 18 years of age, where boys grow for a little bit longer after that, they fill out etc... so you have a few more years yet to tell. you may not grow very much in that 2 years tho of your mum is around your height and you are like her. this doesnt matter I dont think. I thought i was always going tobe about as tall as my mum. I am 21 this year and never even considered the fact that i have stopped growing and i am a lot shorter then her! seh teases me about it all the time.

I'm sure somewhere there is a set of charts showing the dist5ribution of height at different ages. Then you can look at it and see how many females at your age are 5 feet. Or you can just look at other girls around you of your (approximate) age. is everyone taller than you? if not - you're somewhere in the middle. And even if you are the shortest of the 16 year olds, it may not be common, but it still isn't abnormal.

Whatever may be your ultimate height is determined by your inherited genes. If you're "only" five feet you should be glad you're very petite ..... lots of ladies would love to trade places with you! Though your brothers are tall, that is no indication you will be. I always say that one particular set of my paternal cousins "inherited the tall slenders," and my self and siblings "inherited the short dumpies."
