that would depend on a lot of variables. is the knight mounted with room to run the pirate down? is the knight in full plate, plate and mail, full mail or casual period wear? what is the pirate armed with? are they on land or at sea? etc etc etc. assuming the knight and the pirate are in their "fight" gear, on level ground and aware of each other I would have to say knight. they have the advantage in a stand up fight, and even armed with the guns of the period pirates are thieves and brawlers (and just as likely the gun would explode or misfire)

definitely a pirate. knights were too stuck up and full of metal and crap hanging all over from those ridiculously overdone uniforms they wore. Another reason that pirates would win is that, they don't play by rules and they can be pretty nasty too.

Knight! The pirates old guns cant shoot more than 15 ft or so and cant peirce his armour that well.
