I add nothing to the meat if I am making a burger, except salt and pepper. For meatballs or meatloaf I would add eggs ,onions, some sort of breadcrumbs/oatmeal/etc., and whatever else I felt like at the time.

We usually eat hamburgers at home since I think they taste better. I even make our hamburger buns. Usually we don't add anything to the meat, but we do gr=ind our own chuck. Sometimes I like to add caramelized onions and grated swiss cheese and maybe some mustard. Makes an awesome burger.

usually onions and green peppers diced finely. Occasionally I'll add shredded ginger, it gives it an oriental appeal. uugghh, burgers, can't live w/ 'em cant't live w/out 'em
