Usually smarter people know not to judge a whole group of people from a few bad representatives.

I am not sure why this is under philosophy but, you can not make a blanket claim that all Americans are crazy. You will find mentally challenged people all over the world and quite a few of them running countries. Personally I find this to be a rather racist question, and no, I am not American.
