well yeah!

With certain well-established exceptions such as defamation, slander etc, I would say yes they should.
-
Err, Nope. We don't want people screaming out, God doesn't exist, Hitler is awesome, or that Satan is powerful. Everyone shut, is peaceful and less confrontations.
-
Yes as long as you say it with respect to others
-
Absolutely, no doubt about it.

In this country, we have the right to free speech, or commentary without censorship. As an editor and publisher, I know all about slander, or liable, and defamation. I also know what the constitution allows regarding the right assemble and protest (diminishing daily). If we say to some that their words are not welcome or even to go as far as say that they will be jailed for their words, then we nibble away at our rights. As far as inappropriate words being said in schools, work places, to others, well, we've legislated "correctness" as far as we can without actually infringing on free speech. Wow, I'd love to stuff a sock in the mouth of the Rush Limbaughs and ilk. If that is done, when will a sock be stuffed in my mouth?????? I am going to try to find a file about censorship - if I find it, I will post it here for all to ponder.
-
Yes, as long as they don't threat anybody with violence or something like that.
-
There should be places that people can say anything they like
-
No. Not because I want to deny them the right, but the reaction of those they may offend may concern me. I have seen riots in this country and there are many gun owners here. If all controls were removed we would have a lot more problems here.

As for what freedom of speech means yes. All people should have this freedom. The said part here is that not many understand what freedom of speech is. They misunderstand and think it means you can say anything you want to anyone you want without being censored or punished in any way. That is not true. What freedom of speech is, is congress can not create a law which allows the government to censor your words. This has nothing to do with private sectors and businesses that wish not to hear certain words being spoken. The government isn't preventing you from speaking the owners are and they have every right to because it is their business to run how they see fit. For example if I choose to ban the word dumpster in my business and my home and for those who do not follow my rules will be shown the door than this is my right as an owner, same as anyone else has this same right. we have the right to control what is ours without the government coming in and saying no you can't ban words in your own home because congress can't pass this law because of freedom of speech. We have the right to make rules for those visiting us and enforce them as we see fit. So when someone at a school or store or website says you can not use that language here and remain here this is not stepping on your rights but rather you stepping on theirs.

Yes. And take responsibility of it as well. As well they must. But YES. I'm passionate about the first amentment, it's my favorite.

"The freedom of speech is not absolute. Legal systems, and society at large, recognize limits on the freedom of speech, particularly when freedom of speech conflicts with other values or rights. Exercising freedom of speech always takes place within a context of competing values. Limitations to freedom of speech may follow the "harm principle" or the "offense principle", for example in the case of pornography or "hate speech". Limitations to freedom of speech may occur through legal sanction and/or social disapprobation." Source and further information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_speech

Absolutely. Neo Nazis and Klansmen must be heard, if only to allow others to see the idiocy of their ideas. The only manner in which free speech should be limited is in the sense of shouting 'fire' in a theatre.
-
Yes, that should be an inherent right of all human beings
