  • Get a work permit from your school. And you cant get your own place until your 18. Sorry.
  • If you have a friend over 18 who has, or wants to rent somewhere, and is willing to live with you as long as you pay half of the rent it will be OK...
  • That's a tough one. The jobs which hire people in your position (off the books) don't pay what they used to. The two years which looks like eternity to you is just 24 more mortgage payments to me, and do those 30 day incriments fly by. You asked a question, and I'm going to try to answer, although you don't say much about your situation. If you live in or near a city, it will be easier. For-a-instance, here in Maine Bangor, Portland, and Lewiston all have "shelters" for run-a-way and homeless youth. BUT using the letters you used, I kind-of think you are probably in England? Maybe somewhere near you has "help" for teens in your situation. Usually they help get you your diploma, find a job, and settle you in to a "place" S.R.O. (Single resident occupancy)rooming houses, or hotels will sometimes rent to "underage" individuals, BUT you will have to have good security (money or colateral)to insure you stay trustworthy. If you are out in a rural area, your best bet is to "tough it out" or head for the nearest urban area. It's tough, but I know several young people who have made it after leaving home at an even younger age than you. Good luck!
