Don't be ashamed of your scars. They are probably not near as noticeable as you think. But since you asked, I have a scar from open-heart surgery and find that the tanning bed seems to even things out nicely. the scar blends in with my tan great. If you are of color, the TB won't make a difference, but there are oils and treatments that you can use to fade the appearance.

Hello digger. accept it. This is who you are, this event is part of the experiences that make you YOU. I have obvious signs of facial trauma due to an injury I sustained awhile back. My nose is now mis-shaped and I have a pretty good sized dent in my forehead. This was an event in my life which has helped lead me to where I am. Those who cannot see past my scars to the person I am, I have no real need for. Those who love me do not care what I look like. Stand Tall young man, have confidence in yourself, and be proud of WHO you are....... ...Or you can wear "Paisties"(sp?) Sorry, bad joke.

its is not the scar itself that gets to me its what its from, i also have a 7inch scar on my side from a kidney op that doesnt bother me at all

You can probably get plastic surgery if it really bothers you, but this sounds like insecurity to me. If you never even got a reaction, why worry? See what happens. If your fears turn out to be justified, then do something about it.

Scars are nothing to be ashamed of...think of them as battle scars :) You could opt to get tattoos done on your chest or even over the scars depending on where they are...that's a pretty common thing for people with scars to do to feel they have more power over their appearance :)
