  • Yes. I only watch those pageants for the cerebral stimulation ; )
  • They tend to be twits with nothing to say, they have to rehearse to even remember their names. The only point to it is to see if they can remain poised while giving a more-than-two syllable response, or if they'll lose it and go psycho.
  • Not really, no. Not because I think they are all dumb bimbos - but because if she really were to have strong opinions on a serious issue, I am sure she would be doing a little something about it rather than parading about in heels and swimsuits.
  • Not really. Some people who's opinion (on certain issues) I care about have been beauty contestants, but that doesn't have anything to do with valuing their opinion. The value of their opinion on any subject hinges on their literacy in that subject, not on whether or not they won the talent contest.
  • Where would we be without them? And the Hollywood actors', too, contribute so much intellect that we in the US are regarded as perhaps the best mentally endowed place on earth. Without Jane Fonda and Miss South Carolina, we might still be wearing wigs and short pants.
  • Are they really her opinions? I'm sure the contestants are well coached in possible questions and appropriate answers.
  • No, not in the least. I saw something 2-3 nights ago where someone was interviewing some of the contestants and asking them very simple questions...and they didn't know the answers. I mean...come on! Can they all be that dumb? I know not ALL of them are. But, quite frankly, I couldn't tell you the last time I even watched a beauty pageant. I find them pointless and boring.
  • If they are intelligent I am as interested in their opinions as anyone else that speaks.
  • Yes. This isn't the typical male view but I wish beauty pageants took everything about a woman into account and not just looks. It's time for the Stepford contestants to be replaced in favor of real women (Not ugly ones mind you. I'm not saying we should go that far hahaha).
  • it's all about liking the person. if their opinion is not mine that's a good thing
  • If they're actually intelligent, yes.
  • Like crazy... I think that's the make or break point for me in who I'm rooting for. I may like someone and want them to win the entire time, but if they answer a question and it's totally off(like the contestant who was against homosexuals).. I wont want them to win. And vice versa... if one I'm not rooting for turns out to be really smart and I like her personality, then I'll want her to win.
