  • could be 100 things, sounds like a miss start with new spark plugs
  • could mean a few things. What year, make model? Recent work done to it? Was it gradual or suddenly started? Check engine light on?
  • Sounds like possibly bad spark plug, wire, or wire off even. Could also be a dirty air filter. My car was doing something similiar a month or so again, and turned out to be the catalytic (sp.) convertor was clogged and needed replacing. Try the plugs and filter first, as they're cheaper. If if does turn out to be the convertor, no harm was done for nothing wrong with replacing an old part with new.
  • 98 ford escort and 178,000 miles has an engine in it that isn't meant for the car was put in 2004. i've had everything replaced except transmisson and catalicconvertor
  • Timing, Plugs, water in the gas, Cracked wet or worn distributor cap. bad wires, (Check for sparks in a dark garage) Fuel filter, Air filter, clogged Cat convertor. AND about 100 other things. I'd start with a total tune up (Plugs, ALL filters, and timing check) If you are short of funds do0 the cylender check. disconnect wire one, start the car, see if it runs same of worse, if same, then that's where your problem is change plug, and or wire, do the same for 2, 3, and 4.)
  • simple have youre engine checked out by a mechanic, and if says you need a new engine, but you dont have enough money go to www.ebay.com,and search new engines.
  • have youre engine checked by an auto technecion
  • It could be Anyone of a bunch of things. Try something simple first. Use a can of dry gas or injector cleaner for starters. Change or clean your air filter.
  • It could be your engine is idling too low. Thats mt best guess if the engine light hasn't come on yet. Or there could be a short in your ignition. You better have it checked out.
