Yes and no. Aussies are extremely generous and open, but they can be arrogant and insensitive to people of other cultures.

I am damn proud of Canada! 1. Tim Hortons! 2. Hockey! 3. Maple Syrup! 4. Healthcare! 5. Education! 6. The Telephone! 7. Maple Leaf! There is more but I'll save those for another day.

No. 1. Weather 2. Food 3. Youth 4. Noone cares 5. Violence 6. Hostility towards other cultures 7. Depression nationwide 8. Health Service and public serves do NOT work. 9. Yet another corrupt government (I think thats a global problem!) 10. Small houses, big prices 11. Public transport at an all-time low 12. Constant strikes, unemployment 13. Now under supposed terrorist attacks A guess a good thing about England would have to be, if you don't have any career prospects by the time you're 16, you can drop out of school, have a couple of kids and make money off the government in benefits than in a full time job! If i had the choice i know which one i'd pick.

I am proud to be American, and I am proud of America. However, I am not proud of our government, and I am not proud of my fellow Americans. If you're an American, you almost have no choice to be proud; you have been given a gift by accident of birth that I would only trade to be royalty elsewhere. It is a beautiful country with tremendous resources. However, our system of government is ineffective and over-bearing, both in it's foreign and domestic policies. And Americans are rude, boastful, ignorant, and often less-educated than their global peers. Being an enlightened American is a difficult internal conflict.
