Buy a new phone. The same thing happened to me last week...the screen went blank. Letting the battery discharge completely, taking it out, putting it back in, and then recharging it, didn't fix it. I use Virgin Mobile, and I went and bought a new phone and used their web site to transfer my number to the new phone. No problem.
