Yes and no. Religion forbids a lot of things. Some of which are no brainers- like molesting kids or killing. Religion is designed to make folks feel guilty, so that they can be more easily controlled.

Religion forbids alot of things, yet they were the ones that nailed people to crosses and crucified people. Feed people to lions and worst. Why do so many still listen to them. The pope said the other day that condoms make the Aids problem worse??????????? Is he for real???

Do WHAT? I don't do anything to harm others. Eating cream cakes is 'naughty', and I do that sometimes. Not many religions would forbid that? I make love to my wife... but that is neither naughty, nor forbidden??? I self indulge sometimes when my wife is working away... but again that is neither naughty nor forbidden... is it???
