  • It is sad, if the person was a high level one that means the person had many friends and was knowledged. Thus such a situation is a loss for AB and the for the rest of us.
  • AB has lost a gem!
  • Inconsequential to the grand scheme of things
  • Whatever, peeps come and go. Remember them as they were, and not through their abandoned profile. Also I dunno if I was being serious or not ha ha.
  • I have seen "high-class" (high level) users banned from the site. Their profiles appear they have simply left, when, in reality, they crossed the line too many times, and especially near when they were "last seen", and were banned. I have seen "high-class" (high level) users simply leave, never to return, and some take months off of AB to return later. I have see "high-class" (high level) users who have "gone on" (died). This is very sad for all of us who knew them, or have friends who knew them. It's very difficult to watch and feel the pain our friends feel. (NOTE: There has been at least one, that appears to have been faked, and at the end, the profile appeared set up to scam people. Staff stepped in and removed the "About Me" section, so named users were not any more humiliated. This, if true, and I believe those who researched it, was a unconscionable act by someone many people cared for, and believed.) How do I feel? Sad. What do I think? It's sad, but there IS a "real-life" out there, away from AB. There can be various reasons for them not being here, and, while we miss them, there's not much we can do about it but mourn their loss, and hope those who simply left will return.
  • Sad because behind a lot of those abandoned profiles are people whom I considered friends. I do not care if they were banned or left they were still people I enjoyed ABing with and am sorry they are no longer popping back and forth. Of course some of us take long breaks and real life takes over but it does not mean you cannot continue to regret the loss of those that never return or who are not allowed to return. Sadly some of those profiles of people that we believed to be friends were and are just Sockpuppet accounts made by people for nefarious reasons. They think we do not recognise them under new names. How wrong a lot of them are. It is sad that people do that because it makes the rest of us very wary about the friends we choose.
  • Not too bothered. Don't get me wrong - I love the internet - but real life is more demanding and people will go as they please. There will always be new users. I'll be on answerbag for a while, but I'm sure there will be times when my account will fall into disuse.
