You could be if you find it offensive to that group or if you have friends/family in that group
-
If it's offensive, it's offensive. I get on people who insult Christianity and I've been told to go to Hell (a word stolen from Asatru) plenty of times, and I'm a heathen! There's just no reason for destructive criticism.
-
of course if you feel that what the person is saying is wrong then it is wrong. if that person is ridiculing someone for the way they look/dress/talk/ or their background, and you feel offended about it then Congratulations you are a moral person.
-
i am offended because they are human like me, DUH!!!
-
Yes. You can be offended on behalf of somebody, which can hurt just as much. Be offended for your 'previous self', or if you want to be all deep about it - be offended because you're all part of the human race and so they are offending a group within your group.
-
there's no hope for humanity if divisions even that trivial prevent compassion and sticking up for others undeserving of abuse.
-
I don't get offended by stuff like that. I just think it says something about the person's character. If you want to be offended, go ahead and be offended. It's understandable why you would be.
-
Heck YES!
-
Sure
-
Yeah, but I don't get too upset, just annoyed. However if their intent was to piss people off, then I do get offended and who knows what might happen then.
-
Don't let yourself get offended. It's not worth it. You can, however, acknowledge that it is wrong to insult others.
