  • i would, i wouldnt give them details of course, i would tell them that s/he wasnt truthful, and did some things that werent forgivable and thats why they broke up. i wouldnt tell them exactly what it was because if they are younger they may not understand, if they are teenagers they may rebel against one parent or the other...

  • Depends on their age. My 11 month old would say "da da da" probably. My five year old, I'd tell her, but more along the lines of "Daddy acted like he was married to someone else, and did things he promised not to do with anyone except me" and see what she made of it. I firmly believe in telling children the truth and then helping them figure out how to react appropriately instead of hiding reality from them until they are too old to accept the help and throwing them in sink-or-swim to the harsh realities of life.
