  • i would say the person who overcame the peer pressure and didnt even start in the first place.
  • I don't know about the word noble. Sounds like a Royal person, king or queen, etc. I give a lot of credit to a person who has licked an addiction (whichever one it was of many) and give a lot of credit to those who have noted themselves becoming addicted and stopped before they actually became addicted. I can't pick one over the other except to say the one that stopped in time used their smarts better.
  • hmmmmm....even though the addict overcame his/her addiction there is still a chance they may relapse. If you gave up drugs or alcohol you are still considered an addict. Overcoming your addiction is not really noble. Its doing something for yourself to better your quality of life. As for avoiding it in the first place? I'd say that isnt a noble effort. Thats just a lifestyle choice you make.
  • The later by far. Those (such as myself) who don't conform to peer pressure, in fact do the opposite just because of it are much more "noble" than the schmuck that jumps in head first only to please everyone else.
  • People who get started truly believe it cannot happen to them, but it does. If it doesn't kill them, then they've conquered it. That sounds more like a knight to me :D People who never start in the first place may be held as heros, but they have also not gone through the character building that comes from overcoming an addiction.
  • The addict who overcame has met the monster and won! The person who never fought the war has no idea what the addict went through to win. Experience counts!
